SONG TITLE LV REVIEW TEXT RECOMMENDED OPTIONS NC RATING HC RATING EXHC RATING SCORE RATING
灼熱Beach Side Bunny [DPN] 7★ If youre breaking through 4/5 you'll have no trouble with this. The difficulty comes from scratch but its so simple and theres barely scratch chords, just note/scratch swaps. Hardest bit is probably the chords in the middle if anything
(Scratching, Trills, Chords)
5.1 -- -- --
5.1.1. [DPN] 1★ Welcome to DP! This one will jump you if you have zero experience because of trills and scratch chords, quick master is a bit easier.
(Trills)
2.0 -- -- --
Shake [DPH] 2★ Dont play this seriously. Super polarizing+has impossible scratches. HC is often tankable at end but ymmv, EXHC/FC borderline requires random in any form and praying you dont get impossible'd.
(Scratching, Difficult End)
Random Left, S-Random Left, Random Right, S-Random Right 4.0 3.5 -- --
DENIM [DPN] 4★ Evil, not a 4. It plays like an average 5s 5.2 -- -- --
Cheer Train [SPA] 9★ Mid-late 9; harder than route 80s, it's like a baby 5.1.1. Also it's neat practice for offbeat/vocal scratches; you might start to click on autopiloting
(Scratching, Jacks, Rolls)
9.7 -- -- --
route 80s [SPA] 9★ Mostly depends if you've done random a lot and dont mind jacks. Ending might prove weird due to chordscratch. Comparative to a much easier 5.1.1 or macho gang SPA
(Jacks)
9.4 -- -- --
Sphere [SPH] 9★ Deceptively hard because of those 1+7+more chords in the middle; definitely the hardest 6dan song.
(Scales, Chords, Difficult Middle)
Regular, Random, Mirror 9.5 -- -- --
御千手メディテーション [SPH] 9★ Fairy easy for a 9 with barely any gimmicks; I'd say it's passable if you start practicing randoms at 8+
(Scales)
Regular, Random 8.6 -- -- --
I'm so Happy [SPH] 8★ Very fun song, very catchy and easy to keep to the beat. I'd say this is a fine candidate for early-mid 8s.
(Scales, Rolls)
Regular, Random 8.2 -- -- --
celebrate [SPH] 6★ If you suck at Jacks, you will fail. It's a very old chart and it has a bs ending if you're not ready
(Jacks, Chords, Difficult End)
Regular, Random 7.0 -- -- --
Beautiful Days [SPA] 7★ Very nice song and catchy, good chord practice. Ending tests some scratch chords too.
(Chords, Difficult End)
Regular 7.5 -- -- --
ZERO-ONE [SPH] 9★ Fairly low level 9 but dense near the middle, it clears up towards the end though so it's hard to score but easier to clear than you think
(Trills, Chords, Difficult Middle)
Regular, Mirror 9.0 -- -- --
Ubiquitous Fantastic Ride [SPA] 8★ Can be quite dense for an 8 but kinda spammable; it's a high end 8 but if youre comfortable with 9 it can be a good Testing Song
(Rolls, Chords, Difficult Middle)
Regular 8.7 -- -- --
NEMESIS [SPN] 5★ I remember this being a lot harder of a Normal than it should be, especially the pre-breakdown buildup where a lot of notes are 1/2/3 jacks
(Jacks, Scales, Chords)
Regular 5.7 -- -- --
super highway [SPA] 8★ Great test for stairs, becomes a lot easier if you use RANDOM, you can definitely clear this if you're comfortable with 6's, even more so if you use random; I think you can barely genocide it if you're perfect after the scales.
(Scales, Difficult Middle)
Regular, Random 7.3 -- -- 7.2
20,November [SPA] 8★ Despite having less notes, it's slightly harder than the Hyper, but mainly because the middle can screw you a bit more, the pre-ending is less repetitive, and there are more trills.
(Trills, Chords, Difficult Middle)
Regular 8.5 -- -- --
DENIM [SPH] 8★ Pretty weird timing, it feels off. Random makes it a 9. It's a coin flip based on chord experience. No DENIM in the song sadly.
(Scales, Chords, Difficult End)
Regular, Mirror 8.5 -- -- --
Make Me Your Own [SPH] 9★ Ending is the harder part - Scales into the Scratch Section can be daunting - The Scratch Section is pretty tough, combines 8th Single Notes with 16th Scratches
(Scratching, Jacks, Scales, Difficult End)
Regular 9.0 -- -- --
VANESSA [SPN] 8★ It's surprisingly easy to lose rhythm in this, hence the 8; watch your FAST/SLOW closely on the stairs. Once you're comfortable, this is good timing practice with SRAN.
(Scales, Rolls, Difficult End)
Regular, S-Random 7.8 -- -- --
19, November [SPA] 8★ Pretty hard scratches at start. Plays similarly to hyper but with 2-note chords mixed in; for it's level the chords are nothing special. The trills and scratches are the hardest part.
(Scratching, Jacks, Trills)
Regular 8.3 -- -- --
20,November [SPH] 8★ The trills and middle may screw you a bit. You'll be able to recover if you sloppily played the middle and focus til end. I'd say this is a fine benchmark song for halfway through breaking 8.
(Trills, Chords, Difficult Middle)
Regular 8.4 -- -- --
O/D*20 [SPH] 8★ Good candidate for an early 8 clear: fairly catchy; good mix of chords and scales. Also, the OVERDOSE sample is an easy DENIM; you're likely to pass them.
(Scales, Denim, Rolls, Chords)
Regular 8.0 -- -- --
GOBBLE [SPH] 7★ Bit of a weird tempo with some potentially tricky jacks. Very easy for a 7, though. Ending can be tricky on non-random; it uses triplet scales that go backwards. SRAN doesnt make it much easier though.
(Jacks, Scales, Difficult End)
Random 6.6 -- -- --
Ska a go go [SPH] 8★ Stupid ending that's hit or miss, its basically a test of how well you can time and trill.
(Jacks, Trills, Rolls, Difficult End)
Regular, R-Random, Mirror 9.0 -- -- --
BLUST OF WIND [SPH] 8★ Fairly easy 8, very pleasant song. Ending may catch you off guard.
(Scales, Chords)
Regular, Mirror 7.5 -- -- --
お命ちょうDAI!901娘 [SPH] 8★ Surprisingly easy for a level 8, just be warned you'll need some introductory skills to chord stairs. Nothing crazy but theres a lot in succession, so it can be good for practice.
(Chord Scales, Chords)
Regular 7.8 -- -- --
THE CUBE [SPA] 7★ Very quick and repetitive; beginning and end can screw you over. If you want to avoid repetition, try SRAN, but this bumps it up to around an 8~
(Jacks, Rolls, Difficult End)
Regular, S-Random 7.2 -- -- --
Pluto [SPN] 8★ If you know where the stops are, it's easy. It's a grind + memorisation song. It's got a lot of repeating notes but not to the degree of hard jacks.
(Jacks, Speed Changes)
Regular 7.5 -- -- --
HOUSE NATION [SPH] 7★ Lots of Chords, but its so catchy that it's not hard to lose rhythm. I'd say its a good test of initial Horizontal Reading with Chords. Ending is a bit tricky, but I'd say this is one of the later transitional 7's you'll play before breaking out of 6.
(Chord Scales, Chords, Difficult End)
Regular 7.0 -- -- --
5.1.1. [SPH] 6★ Strongly recommend Random (for a better trill) - NOT a fan of SRAN because the ending is hard, requires a trill with occassional chord. Otherwise, this is great trill practice.
(Trills, Difficult End)
Regular, Random 6.0 -- -- --
2hot2eat [SPH] 7★ Fast with lots of scales, random sometimes makes it easier. A couple jacks but no big deal.
(Scales)
Regular, Random 7.3 -- -- --
MACHO GANG [SPH] 7★ If you're not used to it, will require you to scratch 1/3/5, use ajacent chords, and jack 6/7. Kinda subjective difficulty if you're good with jacks. I recommend mirror to make jacks easier but chords slightly harder.
(Scratching, Jacks, Chords)
Regular, Mirror 7.5 -- -- --
Midnight Lady [SPA] 9★ Catchy and repetitive, was the first 9 I beat. Clearable even if starting to break into 8. Use nonran for first clear, becomes a 9+ on most RANDOMs. Only major hard point is the CHARGE + Chord combo in middle; will throw you off if trying to HC+
(Charge Notes, Chords, Difficult Middle)
Regular 8.2 -- -- --
Attack the music [SPA] 6★ Jacks and Off-Beat parts may throw you off, especially if you lose beat. S-RANDOM makes it much easier, but makes ending a little harder. Also the scratches at the end are very fast, you dont have to press the notes that play alongside on any clear.
(Scratching, Jacks)
S-Random 5.8 -- -- --
